Pool REQUIRES Volunteers —Please Sign Up Now
COVID-19 is requiring many changes in how we live and enjoy our lives. Governor Holcomb has created “Back on Track Indiana” which will allow us to open our pool on Sunday, May 24th but with significant restrictions. The most urgent is that we will require three volunteers each day to sanitize high touch areas and report on adherence to the CDC and Boone County Health Department guidance.
A volunteer must be at least 16 years old and will be required to visit the pool at either 9:00 am, 1:00 pm, or 5:00 pm and perform the following tasks:
- Count number of patrons inside the pool fenced in area and if greater than 38, notify a Board Member
- Spray and wipe down all high-touch areas (A YouTube instructional video and checklist will be shared with each volunteer)
- Record your visit in the log provided
These tasks should only take about 15 minutes. Volunteers will be provided with a detailed set of instructions, a disinfectant spray bottle, disposable gloves, and towels.

This work is required to adhere to restrictions imposed by the CDC and Boone County Health (BCH) through July 3, 2020. If our pool is inspected by BCH and we are found to be out of compliance, it is likely our permit will be rescinded, and the pool closed for the duration of the pandemic restrictions.
If we don’t get the required 3 volunteers on a particular day, the pool will be closed for that day. Volunteers must be registered for the three time slots by 9:00 PM the preceding day.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and willingness to volunteer so we can have a GREAT pool season!
